Snow Skiing

Some of us learned at a young age and some of us learned much later in life (adulthood) snow skiing.  Regardless of when you learned, it’s a fun and exhilarating activity. And you get to enjoy it in some of the most beautiful places in the world. The snow skiing group welcomes all abilities and ages – what better way to enjoy beautiful scenery and fun times with family and friends.

We have a few former ski patrol skiers and many who just enjoy sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast and just getting a few runs in on a beautiful day in the mountains.  We typically make a couple 1 week trips to premier ski locations each season (Telluride and Aspen) in 2025. There’s always someone who skis at your leveI and has experiences to share in the hot tub in the afternoon. In addition, we have informal trips where we carpool to either SnoBowl (Flagstaff AZ) or Sunrise (Showlow, AZ) for a day or two of skiing and socializing.

If downhill is not your thing, there are other activities like cross-country touring, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Or you can enjoy shopping, treat yourself to the spa, tour a local museum, go sight-seeing or just curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace at the cozy lodge.
We have monthly get-togethers to socialize and learn about topics of interest to the membership. (The latest equipment, physical preparation for skiing, combating altitude sickness, etc.)

If any of this piques your interest or resonates with you, come join us at one of our monthly get-togethers or contact Mike Wegener, mrwegen1@gmail.com, 503-502-2973.
